Project Overview:
The core project of PROD 720 (Production Design Theory and Practice) was to redesign a chair over the course of the term. Over the weeks we transformed our chairs in stages, following the key design elements available to production designers: Line, Form, Color, Texture, and Ornamentation.
The end goal was to feature the chair in a short film, based on a common mythological archetype. I chose the story of “The Great Storm” that brings destruction in one hand, but new life in the other.
